Osteopathic Manual Medicine is a holistic approach to patient care which uses hands on body work to address injury and illness. It is based on the idea that the structure of the body is intimately connected to the body's capacity to function properly. By correcting imbalances in structure, we can restore and support the body's ability to function optimally. The applications of Osteopathic Manual Medicine are wide ranging. It can be used to address everything from colic and feeding challenges in an infant, to chronic musculoskeletal concerns, and acute illness.
